. August 19, 2013

NEW YORK CITY - August 19, 2013 - the first Manhattan property from NYLO Hotels LLC, is slated to steal the hearts of travelers visiting the Big Apple upon its launch in September 2013. Offering a unique experience for travelers seeking a reprieve from the traditional, uninspiring hotel experience, NYLO New York City will combine the dynamic qualities of urban loft-style living with a highly social atmosphere rich in design, art, music, energy, comfort and affordability. Rates lead in at $259 USD.

The Design

Situated on Manhattan's Upper West Side, the hotel's lobby and LOCL Bar pay homage to the Roaring Twenties era with design elements evoking prohibition decor. A true collaboration between Architect, Stonehill & Taylor and Design Consultant, Stephane Dupoux of Dupoux Design, the 285- guest rooms and suites capture the cultural and historical essence of New York City while maintaining the urban, industrial style that is the hallmark of the NYLO brand. Offering 33 suites with select rooms boasting private balconies and views of the Hudson River and Central Park, NYLO New York City's guestrooms will feature a warm palette of hues including natural tones paired with 'pops' of vibrant color. In addition, the hotel's walls are adorned with original artwork from local artists chosen to showcase their work within the soon-to-launch property.

Featured Amenities
Straying from the standard hotel experience NYLO Hotels is the first American boutique hotel brand to partner with Monscierge, a touch-based concierge service connecting today's savvy traveler to the trusted local recommendations they seek on-site and on-the-go. In keeping with the DIY urban loft-style theme of the hotel, NYLO New York City has done away with the typical mini bar and room service offerings and instead encourages guests to order in-room delights from customized Seamless and Delivery apps, designed specifically for guests craving neighborhood eats. Situated in the heart of the Upper West Side, the hotel is steps away from gourmet hot spots including Fairway, Westside Market and Zabars, all must-stop destinations for food-loving visitors.

Restaurants & Bars
A nod to the hotel's prohibition inspired decor, the hotel's LOCL Bar provides the ultimate spot for both Upper Westside-rs and guests alike. The hotel is offering a taste of New York's finest brews and signature cocktails, including the Strawberry Fields Bramble and the Upper West Side Old-Fashioned. Located adjacent to NYLO New York City, Dim Sum Master Joe Ng, Chinese food expert Ed Schoenfeld and restaurant insider Jeffrey Chodorow have teamed up to launch the Upper West Side's first, RedFarm. Known for its modern and inventive approach to Chinese cuisine, RedFarm's rustic decor will bring a fresh perspective to the neighborhood. Guests will also have access to the hotel's own Serafina restaurant, offering a selection of Northern Italian cuisine evocative of Italy's old-world charm and signature dishes.
