Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Summer Updates

August 12, 2013 - The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) Summer Update debuted a new component - receptions that were held throughout July in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles, giving more than 250 ALIS investment community delegates an opportunity to network across the country.

AH&LA In addition, two webinars provided a midyear update - The Outlook from Private Equity and The Outlook from the Lenders. Updates on the private equity world were provided by Rick Kirkbride of Paul Hastings LLP, with panelists including Kevin Colket of Starwood Capital Group, Tyler Henritze of Blackstone, Michael G. Medzigian of Watermark Capital Partners, and William H. Reynolds of MCS Capital LLC.

Robert B. Stiles of RobertDouglas moderated a discussion on the lenders outlook featuring Jeffrey Bucaro of Aries Capital, LLC, Warren de Haan of Starwood Property Trust, and Mark Fluent of Deutsche Bank.

“ALIS Summer Update was established several years ago to offer a midyear pulse on important topics discussed at the January conference,” said Jim Burba, co-host of ALIS. “The webinars were state-of-the-art and very informative, and the ALIS hotel investment community in three major markets had a chance to get together, network, and do some deals in the summer.”
