HHM Renovates Nearly 30 Properties Along the East Coast and Across Several Major Brands

Philadelphia - July 11, 2013 - HHM has completed enhancements to 24 hotels so far in 2013, including more than eight New York City area properties, the company recently announced. The hotels received upgrades to appeal to the preferences of the modern traveler, through renovations to guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobby areas and outdoor patios. In some cases, such as Duane Street Hotel in Tribeca, the property underwent a complete transformation, creating a whole new decor inspired by black and white 1920's New York City, as well as more options for guests with the addition of two brand new suites.

Other renovations were recently completed at Residence Inns, Hyatt Houses, Hilton Garden Inns and other major branded properties as well as the distinctly unique boutique hotels of the Independent Collection, in Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington D.C. and central Pennsylvania.

As today's traveler has continuously evolving tastes, HHM strategized how to address those needs through improvements specific to each hotel. By planning for technology incorporation at every level, the renovated hotels' furniture allows for enhanced mobility and multifunctionality - visitors are increasingly traveling with their own mobile devices and utilizing the space provided in different ways. The growing trend of blending work space with lounge space has led the company to transform the lobby concept into an area where guests feel as comfortable socializing, as they do working or even just relaxing. In addition, HHM has captivated the attention of guests who expect more from their hotel experience through distinct yet classic design, often reflective of the local culture.

Ten of the company's 18 Hampton Inns have received enhancements, including property-wide upgrades at three Pennsylvania hotels. The Hampton Inns at Carlisle and Danville, as well as the Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey underwent top to bottom changes - from an updated exterior to the indoor pool. Public spaces such as the lobby, breakfast bar and fitness center were enhanced and a sweet shop market was added. The guestrooms now include a wall unit that features a microwave and refrigerator, along with a desk set designed to create more space in the room for the guest's comfort and convenience.

Additionally, five HHM-managed Residence Inns in the Northeast underwent property renovations. Residence Inn Boston Norwood/Canton, Mass. received a total refresh, including upgrades to the lobby, corridors and guestrooms. Updated guestrooms feature new bedding, sofas, dining chairs and tables, brand new carpeting, modern wallpaper and curtains, and the addition of a work desk and chair, new televisions, lighting and artwork.

More HHM properties throughout the country are expecting the completion of strategic renovations throughout the summer and into fall.
