Generation's Homewood Suites Wilmington/Mayfaire Receives International Honors
RTP, NC - April 17, 2013 - Homewood Suites By Hilton Wilmington/Mayfaire NC, owned and managed by The Generation Companies, a real estate developer, owner, asset manager and operator of extended-stay hotels, was honored with two awards at the recent Hilton Worldwide/Homewood Suites gala in Orlando, Florida. The hotel, a 118-room upscale extended-stay hotel located in the regional mixed-use development Mayfaire Towne Center, won a merit award for Most Improved Extended Stay Occupancy Percentage (ESOcc%) and a merit award for Connie Pride, making them 4th in the world for the brand in 2012. The ESOcc% award, given to the top 5% in the brand, is based on occupancy stays of five nights or more. The Connie Pride award, in honor of Hilton founder Conrad Hilton, recognizes quality assurance and guest satisfaction and loyalty, and is presented to the top 10% of the brand. The Wilmington/Mayfaire hotel placed 4th in the world for 2012, up from 22nd in 2011.
