OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - March 15, 2013 - Huntington Hotel Group announces the renovation of the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Overland Park, Kansas. “We recently completed a 6-month renovation,” explained hotel general manager, Brian Meader, “including the guest rooms, lobby, club house, guest laundry room and exercise room.”

He goes on to explain, “all the rooms have new carpet, new beds, new bedding, and flat panel TVs. The guests especially love the new flat panels. We added a Market for snacks and foods.” In addition, the lobby and club house have a fresh look, the guest laundry room has been updated, and they added more weights in the exercise room. 107 of the 215 rooms are very spacious and configured into 1-bedroom apartments. The bedroom is separate from the living room, dining and kitchen. The living room has a fireplace. The spacious living arrangements encourage extended stay guests - including business travelers on 1-month to 12-month assignments. Guests have stayed in the hotel for as long as two years.
