Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza Completes Renovation of its 234 Grand Premium Rooms

Remaining 591 Guestrooms to be Transformed Over the Next Three Years

Beijing - March 5, 2013 - Grand Hyatt Beijing at Oriental Plaza today unveils its newly remodelled guestrooms, known as the Grand Premium rooms. A total of 234 Grand Premium rooms made its debut.

Based on contemporary clean lines, the Grand Premium rooms feature new carpets, wallpaper, fixtures and furnishings, all radiating Hyatt's elegant attention to detail. The all-white bedding and bed headboard, and the complementing bathrooms furnished with sleek new vanity mirrors and soft lighting define the sophistication of the new guestroom.

Functional design throughout the Grand Premium rooms also mean more generous space is available. With regards to functionality, there is an enhanced lighting system and technology-savvy conveniences such as an iPod docking station, and an extended workstation fitted with USB charging outlets. With these connectivity amenities and the complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, guests are constantly “connected”.

According to Mr Zancanaro, the hotel's project teams are very experienced and have carefully planned the remodelling programme, hence the whole process was seamless and inconspicuous, especially to the hotel's valued guests.

The completion of the Grand Premium rooms represents the first phase of the hotel's remodelling programme. The second phase will start in summer. Mr Zancanaro also said that a significant amount of investment has been injected in the remodelling, and the remaining 591 guestrooms will also be completely transformed over the next three years.
