. February 22, 2013

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA - February 21, 2013 - For two decades Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) has honored innovative individuals behind technology-driven developments in the hospitality industry with the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame. The association continues this tradition by accepting nominations for the 2013 honoree. The newest inductee will be recognized at a Keynote session of HITEC 2013 (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference®) in Minneapolis, Minn.

Applications are available on the HFTP web site, with nominations due to the HFTP office by April 15. The 2013 honoree will be selected by a distinguished panel of technology experts and HFTP leaders.

"It has been an amazing privilege to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented people who are driving technology forward in our industry," said Douglas Rice, the 2012 inductee, executive vice president and CEO of HTNG. "To be recognized by HFTP for the role I have played is a great honor, and truly humbling."

To keep up with expectations and in recognition of the visionaries who develop these instruments and their impact on the hospitality industry, HFTP established the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame, the association's highest level of recognition in the area of technology. Since 1989, 32 individuals have been selected by their peers as representing the best in innovation and application and as leaders in their profession.
