Banyan Tree Exploring Strategic Partnerships with Investors in the UAE

February 8, 2013 - Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, the leading international hospitality brand that manages and develops premium resorts, hotels and spas, is planning to expand its presence in the UAE in 2013 by establishing strategic partnerships with investors capitalising on the growth prospects of the hospitality industry in the UAE and the region.

Abid Butt, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts CEO, who visited the UAE recently said: “We are looking into various opportunities in the UAE to launch new hotels and resorts by forming new alliances and partnerships. The hospitality industry in the UAE in general and Dubai and Abu Dhabi in particular is witnessing increased growth supported by strong infrastructure and increasing interest in travel and tourism in the region which inspires us to look into various options to enhance our position in the country ,” he added.

Abid appraised the achievements in the UAE with several mega-projects being recently launched and professionally managed making Dubai a sought-after destination for companies working in the tourism sector and seeking to develop their business.

He added that the ease of procedures and regulations in the UAE and the various attractions for leisure and business have made it a leading destination for international hotel chains who want to benefit from the increasing number of tourists and visitors coming from all over the world.

The Banyan Tree Group manages and owns 30 resorts and hotels around the world, more than 60 integrated health clubs, 80 retail galleries and runs two golf courses. It currently manages two hotels in the Middle East, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach.
