Maine Innkeepers Association Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser Offers 50% Off Room Rates

Innkeepers Attract spring visitation to Maine by slashing rates to raise funds for Maine chapters of Habitat for Humanity

. February 07, 2013

Freeport, ME - February 6, 2013 - This spring Maine Innkeepers invite travelers to experience some of the states' finest B&B's, inns, hotels and resorts at half the usual rate. “Hospitality for Habitat”, an annual Maine Innkeepers Association (MEIA) fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, will offer visitors 50% off room rates at participating hotels in exchange for a $35 donation made to Habitat for Humanity between April 22nd and May 24, 2013, announced MEIA Executive Director, Greg Dugal.

Hospitality for Habitat has raised over $100,000 to help build homes for Maine families since the program's inception in 2004, and hundreds of travelers have experienced wonderful Maine properties at half the regular room rate. Each year participating Innkeepers and their guests have increased the donation made to Habitat for Humanity. In 2012 the association raised $17,000 for the 9 Maine chapters of Habitat for Humanity.

“Innkeepers and guests both enjoy giving back to Maine communities, knowing that every dollar donated goes directly towards building a home,” stated Dugal. “It is a wonderful opportunity for guests to visit some of Maine's finest properties at greatly reduced rates.”

To take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to Habitat for Humanity while experiencing some of Maine's finest inns, hotels and B&B's at affordable rates, visit The Maine Innkeepers web page at www.maineinns.com.
