Omni Amelia Island Plantation Appoints Alan Barker as Director of Security

AMELIA ISLAND, FL - January 17, 2013 - The Omni Amelia Island Plantation, nestled between the dune-swept beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and natural saltwater marshes, has named Alan Barker as the new director of security.

Barker will oversee the resort's and community's security operations, ensuring public safety functions are executed as directed by the Amelia Island Plantation Community Association. Additionally, Barker will manage security procedures and investigations, as well as create a positive and secure experience for all members and guests.

Barker brings more than 19 years of experience and leadership in loss prevention and risk management and was most recently employed by the Ritz Carlton Sarasota as the director of security. Barker served four years in the Army, both in the U.S. and abroad, and also has a B.S. in Corporate Training from Lehman College in New York.
