Andrew Pinckney Inn to Undergo Extensive Refurbishment

. January 14, 2013

Charleston, NC - January 14, 2013 - The Andrew Pinckney Inn, a circa 1840 boutique hotel overlooking Charleston's City Market and locally managed by Charlestowne Hotels, will undergo an extensive remodeling to 32 guestrooms in the Church Street Building (199 Church Street) during the first quarter of 2013. The remodel will begin in January 2013 and conclude in February 2013, affording guests a significantly enhanced experience.

The highlight of the redesign is the complete restyling of the guest bathrooms which will feature floor to ceiling hand-laid Italian Travertine porcelain tile showers, granite countertops, Kohler fixtures and spa quality Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities.

The guestrooms will boast a fresh new color scheme to lighten and complement the rich wood furnishings. Renee Anthony, Project Manager with Haute Design, describes the palette as “spa-like, offering a relaxed and serene feeling.”

Disturbances from the refurbishment will be inconspicuous as all guest accommodations have been relocated to the Pinckney Street building of the inn located at 40 Pinckney Street, which underwent a renovation of its own in 2010. Guest visiting during the remodel will notice enhanced amenities including valet parking and in-room breakfast tray service to accompany the inn's current amenities.
