Legendary Coconut Grove hotel ready to re-launch with new leadership from Axel Gasser
May 29, 2012 - Mayfair Hotel & Spa, a luxurious boutique hotel located in Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Axel Gasser as general manager. In his new position, Mr. Gasser will oversee all daily operations, budgets, sales and marketing of the hotel.

A native of Austria, Gasser comes to the Mayfair after four years as the regional director of Jordache Hotels (including Hotel Breakwater, Hotel Victor, Hotel Ocean and Drexel House) in Miami Beach. His accomplishments there included contributing to the administration of a $30 million renovation, successfully attaining a GOP percentage of nearly 60 percent and surpassing budget goals by more than 30 percent. Gasser's previous experience also includes positions as general manager at ASI Hotels & Resorts and various Marriott Hotels throughout the United States.
Gasser received his Bachelor of Arts in International Tourism from the University of Austria and has received extensive training from Marriott Connect2You University.
