Aqua Hotels & Resorts to Begin Renovation of 221-room Park Shore Waikiki on Oahu, HI

Honolulu, Hawaii - August 1, 2012- Aqua Hotels & Resorts' Park Shore Waikiki, a classic Oahu hotel with an enviable location fronting Waikiki Beach, will undergo a $10.7 million enhancement beginning August 2012. Situated between picturesque Diamond Head crater, Kapiolani Park and the excitement of Waikiki, the hotel will emerge from the refurbishment as one of the area's most stylish and comfortable boutique hotel experiences for both leisure and business travelers.

"The renovation of Park Shore Waikiki has been highly anticipated by our guests and community for some time," says General Manager Scott Pauli. "This renovation will completely transform the property into a vacation experience that is equal to our idyllic location across from the famous white sands of Waikiki Beach."

With an expected completion in February 2013, the project includes refurbishment of the guest rooms, hallways and lobby areas. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by a stylish, new lobby experience that includes an upgraded front desk, contemporary artwork, new carpet and upgraded lighting. Hallways also will be refreshed with new carpet, lighting and paint.

Guest rooms will receive a top to bottom makeover that includes new carpet, tile, bedding, furniture, lighting, soft goods, fixtures, showers and bathtubs. Designed by Kory Wong-Oglesby of deZigns Interior Planning, the new rooms boast a contemporary, island-theme that is both stylish and relaxed. Sleek furniture, dark woods, and granite counter tops combine with a warm color palette to welcome guests. Other special touches in the room include Kohler fixtures, 42-inch flat screen HDTVs, and colorful island artwork by contemporary Hawaiian surf artist Heather Brown.

The hotel will be open throughout the renovation with the majority of work taking place weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Upon completion of the project, guest rooms will include complimentary in-room HD programming, digital safes, wireless Internet access, mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker. Other complimentary amenities provided by the hotel include WiFi Internet access throughout the property and daily local newspaper.
