Lake House at Chelan to Join Columbia Hospitality's Portfolio of Boutique Inns, Hotels and Resorts
Seattle-based hospitality management and consulting firm welcomes premier Lake Chelan property to the Columbia Collection
SEATTLE - June 27, 2012 - Seattle-based hospitality management and consulting firm Columbia Hospitality, Inc., announces a new management and operational agreement with The Lake House at Chelan. Located in the celebrated Pacific Northwest waterfront destination of Lake Chelan in North Central Washington, this destination hotel joins Columbia Hospitality's portfolio of boutique inns, hotels and resorts offering exceptional experiences in unique destinations, known as the Columbia Collection.
“Lake Chelan is a remarkable destination with so much to offer travelers—from family activities to outdoor recreation to food and wine experiences,” said Columbia Hospitality President Bret Matteson. “We're looking forward to working with The Lake House to enhance the guest experience through community partnerships and programming that take advantage of the resort's incredible amenities and ideal location in the Lake Chelan Wine Valley.”
Columbia Hospitality's proven expertise in the management and operation of boutique, destination hotels and resorts such as Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie, and Friday Harbor House and Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes on San Juan Island, was a driving factor in signing this new property. This is the firm's fourth property management acquisition in just over one year; Columbia Hospitality acquired management contracts with Cave B Inn & Spa in Quincy, Wash., and Rainbow Ranch Lodge in Big Sky, Mont., in May 2011 and was selected to manage Knob Hill Inn, a Sun Valley hotel in Ketchum, Idaho, in August 2011.
The Lake House is situated in the heart of downtown Chelan with a variety of resort amenities including a year-round pool, hot tub and fitness center. Each of the 40 guestrooms, which range from one to three bedroom suites, has a private deck, barbeque, fireplace and full kitchen. The hotel's central location provides access to the charming downtown and breathtaking scenery of the valley and a long list of activities including boating, water sports, golf, hiking, fishing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Lake Chelan Wine Valley received its official American Viticulture Association (AVA) designation in 2009, and has continued to develop a thriving community of boutique wineries that are attracting attention from winemakers, grape growers and wine enthusiasts.
