Entire Pineapple Hospitality Portfolio Awarded Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor

BELLEVUE, WA - June 14, 2012 - Pineapple Hospitality, the hotel management division of Columbia West Properties, announces that all four of its boutique properties: Hotel FIVE, The Maxwell Hotel, University Inn and Watertown Hotel, have been awarded the 2012 TripAdvisor® Certificates of Excellence.

The award recognizes hospitality establishments across the world that maintain outstanding traveler reviews and an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five. Roughly 10 percent of the resorts and hotels listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.

Hotel FIVE is an urban-contemporary hotel, centrally located on Fifth Avenue in downtown Seattle. The venue is less than a 10-minute walk from Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, and has maintained a TripAdvisor rating of four.

“I loved this hotel because it's just so different to your average boring city hotel,” said a TripAdvisor traveler from Ireland about Hotel FIVE. “The decor is really funky and arty throughout the hotel. The room was really clean and very comfortable. Fab shower! They thought of nearly everything. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Location is perfect if you want to get around the city on foot.”

University Inn offers a delightfully nostalgic flair in the University District, just four blocks from the University of Washington and has maintained a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5.

“I can't say enough about this hotel,” said a TripAdvisor traveler from Lafeyette, La. about the University Inn. “The staff was helpful and kind. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The location was great. I would recommend the University Inn to friends and family.”

Watertown Hotel is a colorful, nautical-themed hotel located in the heart of the University District and has maintained a TripAdvisor rating of 4.5. “What a great hotel, walking distance from UW. Extremely friendly, helpful desk staff,” said a TripAdvisor traveler from Corvallis, Ore. about the Watertown Hotel.

“Free shuttle to downtown. Very nice room--lots of space & light. Free, protected, underground parking. Nice little mini pineapple cupcakes in the early evening.”
