Noble House Announces Multi-million Dollar Refresh of Riviera Palm Springs Resort
June 13, 2012 - Noble House Hotels & Resorts announces today its significant ownership stake and plans for multi-million dollar refreshment of iconic Riviera Palm Springs resort. With this move, Noble House Founder Pat Colee - having strong personal ties to the Greater Palm Springs community asserts an even greater commitment to residents, resort employees and guests for the long term success of Riviera Palm Springs and the community of Palm Springs.
Noble House Hotels & Resorts assumed management of the resort in 2008 as leisure and group travel was on a decline across the country. Since that time, Riviera has continued to see a steady increase in revenues and average daily spends, further strengthening the Colee family's commitment to and support of Riviera and the continued growth of Palm Springs tourism.
“With full ownership of the Riviera, Noble House Hotels & Resorts will be able to take an already thriving product to the next level,” says President and CFO Mike Benecke. “Pat Colee's contribution is a personal guarantee to make that happen.”
Enhancements to the resort will take place throughout 2012, with an anticipated completion date in late fall. Refreshments include expanding the current Deep End pool and the addition of third pool catering to guests looking for a more relaxed environment; an increase of 3,000 sq. ft. meetings and conference space; an update to existing tennis facilities to include basketball and paddleboard courts; and numerous additional upgrades throughout guest rooms and all public areas.
“The Colee family has played an integral role in restoring the Riviera to its original grandeur of the Rat Pack heyday,” says Geoff Young, vp, managing director of Riviera Palm Springs. “These enhancements will bring a renewed passion to our staff, vendors and guests; our entire team is appreciative of their collective vision.”
Riviera Palm Springs - a part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection - is an iconic playground of the past to the likes of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, characterized today as Old Hollywood glamour, with a fresh, playful twist. Creating a "re-mix" of 60s influences, from oversized crystal chandeliers and vibrant shag rugs, to Andy Warhol pop art and an eclectic blend of retro furnishings, Riviera Palm Springs also boasts hundreds of towering palms, sparkling pools, private cabanas and intimate poolside fire pits.
