MGM Resorts Appoints Bill Scott to Strategic Development Leadership Post
April 26, 2012 - MGM Resorts International [NYSE: MGM] has announced the appointment of William M. Scott IV to serve as Senior Resident Executive for Greater China.
In this role, Mr. Scott will serve as the Resident Director of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality, Ltd., MGM's joint venture with Diaoyutai State Guesthouse to promote hospitality projects in China. He will also act as MGM Resorts' resident director for MGM China Holdings Limited [HKSE: 2882], which owns MGM Macau.
In his new position, Mr. Scott will facilitate cooperation, communication and synergies between MGM's Asian and U.S. based teams.

Murren, Chairman & CEO of MGM Resorts. "Last year, Bill played a pivotal role in the successful initial public offering of our Macau business and has already begun work with our China businesses. He gives us an invaluable, in-country resource to help drive the growth of our businesses in Asia and to expand the recognition and acceptance of MGM's brand in China and Indo-China.
Mr. Scott joined MGM Resorts in 2009 and was promoted to Executive Vice President - Corporate Strategy and Special Counsel in July 2010. In this role, he collaborated in the extension of the Company's primary credit lines, the refinancing of CityCenter's credit lines and other critical capital market transactions.
He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has law degrees from Union University and Boston University. He previously was a partner in the Los Angeles office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton.
