JACKSON, WY - April 26, 2012 - Winter's early thaw is good news for fly-fishing enthusiasts with an early kick off to the season. At Jackson Fork Ranch, the good news gets even better with the Ranch's June two-night package that includes a free day of fly-fishing school. The school, led by ORVIS endorsed instructors, is ideally suited for beginners to more advanced anglers looking for some refresher and insider tips.

How it works:
Guests who book and stay a minimum two-nights at the Lodge at Jackson Fork Ranch June 1-30, 2012 receive one day of fly-fishing school free of charge ($175/person value). The value can also be credited for a two or three day school for guests wishing to extend their stay.

What it includes:
Full-day instruction and rental equipment, including waders, with FFF (Federation of Fly-Fishers) certified and ORVIS endorsed local guides, with 80 percent of instruction "hands on" to allow students to immediately apply skills and practice. Guides come with years of local fly-fishing experience and intimate knowledge of the area, the waters and the trout that inhabit them, providing invaluable insights and tales of lore to educate and engage every guest.

Instruction includes:

  • Basic casting skills for beginners up to fundamentals refresher and casting/fishing skill refinement for more experienced anglers
  • Tackle set up
  • Basic knots
  • Local fly selection
  • Tips on spotting fish
  • Artificial flies appropriate for use in the area

Cost:
All-inclusive rates for lodging, gourmet meals, special ranch excursions including bison feeding, Percheron team carriage ride, ranch staff gratuities, nightly star gazing and S'mores, and amazing wilderness with abundant wildlife start at $262.50/person, per night. How to Reach Jackson Fork Ranch
Regularly scheduled service on American, Delta, Frontier and United Airlines, comes via Jackson Airport, offering easy connections from key markets across the U.S. Guests with more time and looking for some scenic, road trip bonding also have the option of doing the 4-hour drive from Salt Lake City.
