Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is Celebrating its Silver Anniversary

. April 24, 2012

LOS ANGELES, CA - April 23, 2012 - Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The hotel officially opened its doors to the public on April 23, 1987, quickly establishing itself as one of Los Angeles' leading luxury hotels.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary, Windows Lounge is offering the Doheny & 3rd Cocktail with organic Crusoe Silver Rum, herbs from the hotel's garden including thyme, lemon verbena, oregano, Meyer lemon zest and dried Meyer lemon peels, silver leaf, lemon juice and house made all-spice Cardamom bitters, priced at $16. Guests staying at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Monday, April 23 will enjoy a celebratory chocolate dessert amenity with an edible silver leaf, created by Pastry Chef Federico Fernandez.

In the 1980s, brothers Robert and Joseph Cohen were given the opportunity to purchase the entire block on Third and Doheny Boulevard, the very location where they ran and operated one of their flower shops. The Cohen family instantly partnered with Four Seasons to build and manage the hotel and have watched their dreams of running one of Los Angeles' top hotels blossom into a reality.

Located between Robertson Boulevard and Rodeo Drive, the hotel became the home away from home for entertainment industry leaders, leisure travelers from around the world and local Angelenos, featuring stunning city views, luxurious guest rooms and suites, impeccable service, extravagant events and extraordinary dining options, including the new, award-winning restaurant Culina, Modern Italian. The hotel has hosted thousands of memorable events, such as prominent weddings, film press junkets and Awards Season parties, capturing the hearts and attention of many.

Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills also recently underwent a $38 million renovation, which included a full redesign of all 285 guestrooms and suites with contemporary design elements and a nod to Old Hollywood. The renovation also included a new saline pool, elevated whirlpool, renovated pool deck, temperature-controlled outdoor fitness centre, and enhancements to Windows Lounge and the ballroom. In addition, Culina, Modern Italian opened in March 2010, which was promptly named one of the nation's best new restaurants by Esquire Magazine. Earlier this year, iPad2 devices with ICE technology were placed in all 285 guestrooms, enabling guests to order in room dining, make restaurant reservations, place housekeeping request and much more. This month, in preparation for the big anniversary, the hotel completed renovations to the Wetherly Garden, Wetherly Room, Promenade area and spa.

The team at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills looks forward to celebrating this exciting anniversary and continuing with much success over the next 25 years.
