What's New at the Hilton Worldwide Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii

- A US$45 million dollar complete makeover of Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort's Rainbow Tower was completed in December, 2011 and included all guest rooms, corridors and elevator landings.
The first major activities attraction to open in Waikiki in 20 years invited guests aboard officially on April 6, as Waikiki Ocean Club launched a playground of water fun anchored off Waikiki's shores. Snorkeling, helmet diving, kayaking, trampoline, sunbathing, slides and diving platforms are just some of the fun as well as enjoying cocktails and local munchies. Guests are transported to the playground via watercraft departing from the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Port Hilton pier throughout the day. - Bali Steak & Seafood Restaurant, the culinary landmark at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, has been named a Four Diamond Restaurant by AAA Hawaii for an unprecedented 23rd consecutive year. No other restaurant in Hawaii has received that distinction, and there are only a handful of restaurants with such a distinction across the United States. The DoubleTree by Hilton Alana Waikiki, conveniently located at the entrance to Waikiki, finished a US$16 million hotel transformation project in 2011, which included comprehensive upgrades throughout the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, function space and dining outlets.
- On Hawaii Island, Hilton Waikoloa Village is pleased to welcome two new eateries to its 62-acre resort. Both are designed with Families, Foodies and Locavores in mind. Boat Landing Cantina - Where "Hola Meets Aloha" is a Hawaiian-style Mexican Cantina serving tableside guacamole and local-style Calamansi Margaritas. Dona & Tonis Pizza, scheduled to open in May, will feature both creative and island-inspired pizzas, as well as traditional-style pizzas to satisfy all tastes.
- Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort announces the opening of Alan Wong's Amasia in May. Amasia features a sushi bar and a robata for grilled delicacies. Chef Wong, awarded the James Beard Award for Best Chef of the Year for Pacific Northwest in 1996, currently operates two restaurants in Oahu, the original Alan Wong's on King Street, a favorite of President Obama's; and The Pineapple Room.
