New partners will focus on one of the nation's largest and fastest growing industries

. April 06, 2012

Ithaca, NY / Washington, DC - April 5, 2012 - The National Restaurant Association, which is the leading trade association for the restaurant and foodservice industry, has become the newest senior partner of the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. As a senior partner, the National Restaurant Association will help the CHR focus on research to benefit the foodservice industry. For more than 90 years, the association has worked to promote the industry and help its members build customer loyalty, rewarding careers and financial success.

"Over the years, the National Restaurant Association has been a tremendous advocate for the industry, and we're delighted that they will work with us as a senior partner," said Jennifer Macera, CHR associate director. "Many CHR researchers conduct studies to help boost the restaurant industry, and this new connection with the National Restaurant Association will help us focus even more strongly on strengthening this important industry at all levels."

"We are looking forward to working with CHR on research to help the industry's profitability and raise awareness of key issues that impact restaurant operators," said Paul Hineman, executive director of the National Restaurant Association. "We hope our input will result in market and consumer research that provides insights that help our members improve their business, as well as help the National Restaurant Association continue to develop our suite of 'for the industry, by the industry' products and services."

As a senior partner, the National Restaurant Association will be part of the CHR advisory board and will also help guide the CHR's research agenda. All partners also have a seat at every CHR industry roundtable.
