Gettysburg College Chooses Waterford to Operate 119-room Gettysburg Hotel

Waterford, CT - March 26, 2012 - Gettysburg College today announced the appointment of Waterford Hotel Group to operate the 119-room historic Gettysburg Hotel. Established in 1797 and owned by Gettysburg College, the hotel is located on Lincoln Square at the center of historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Waterford Hotel Group will assume management effective April 1, 2012, marking the 30th property in Waterford's portfolio and its 3rd located in Pennsylvania.

“It gives us great pleasure to appoint Waterford Hotel Group as the management company of the Gettysburg Hotel,” said Daniel Konstalid, Vice President for Finance and Administration at Gettysburg College. Plans are underway for extensive renovations at the Gettysburg Hotel. “Next year marks an important year for Gettysburg as we commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Waterford's experience in operating properties ranging from historic inns to full service hotels offers a vast amount of resources that will further the Gettysburg Hotel in its goal of providing outstanding accommodations, services, and overall guest experiences throughout the Sesquicentennial commemoration and beyond,” added Konstalid.
