Sheraton Towers Singapore Announces Refurbishment Plan

. March 08, 2012

March 7, 2012 - From a classically grand yet understated residential feel, to an ambience that exudes timeless contemporary elegance… Sheraton Towers Singapore has embarked on a S$20 million upgrading project that will see a complete facelift to the façade and driveway as well as 412 guest rooms redesigned in a transitional style, bringing a modern edge to the conventional look.

History

When everyone reveled in joyous Christmas cheer on 25 December 1985, Sheraton Towers Singapore too celebrated a momentous occasion with its official opening that elevated luxury and personal service in the hospitality industry to new heights. Designed by renowned Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), Sheraton's elegant architecture and extravagant interior took Singapore by storm and its crowning achievement - the floating glass screen that offered an unrivalled view of our signature waterfall and the lush landscape, received much acclaims and remains the talk of the town even till date.

Having weathered the test of time, Sheraton Towers Singapore is now looking forward to pamper its guests to a more luxurious accommodation experience with the tastefully refurbished guest rooms and amenities. Once again facilitated by world-renowned international interior design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the refurbishment project will, for the first time in Asia, see the use of stylish Italian luxury brands for interior furnishings.

Guest Room Interiors
The appointed colour scheme of the new rooms features the use of rich Brasilian Macassar Ebony woods and soothing pastel shades, recreating the warm residential feel that the Sheraton brand is renown for, with a lighter modern twist. The marble covered bathroom is retro-fitted with quintessential creature comforts like the rain-shower as well as hand-held shower facilities from Damixa.

Each room will also be installed with 40-inch LED television set, a state-of-the-art media hub at the writing desk to provide guests the flexibility and convenience of using multiple electronic equipments at the same time. Other highlights include the branded Artemide bedside lamps that adjust with a transparent clip to full downwards and 30° upwards position for the comfort of bedside reading pleasure, the new safe that opens from the top is able to store expensive electronics including a 14″ notebook while the guest is away as well as the specially commissioned Designer Couch that features graceful curves and supple cushion for a luxurious lounging comfort.

In addition, all of the guest room corridors have been refurbished to complement the guest room renovations with plush new carpets, wall coverings and the latest energy saving LED light, which is in line with the hotel's commitment towards sustainability.

Facade and Driveway
Apart from a rejuvenated in-room experience, Sheraton Towers Singapore sports an entirely new look beginning with its driveway that has recently been laid with the premium Brazilian Nero Nuvolato Granite. With the makeover of the hotel's façade that will commence in the next phase of the refurbishment work, guests will be welcomed to a refreshing and elegant sense of arrival.

General Manager, Mr Steven Long commented, “As part of our long-term commitment to delivering a five-star product experience to guests, Sheraton Towers has, over the past couple of years, revamped several venues such as the Club Lounge, Function Rooms, Fitness and Spa Oasis, DOMVS Restaurant and has also completely tiled the Guest Lift walls with exquisite Onyx stone. With the upcoming completion of the room and façade refurbishment, we look forward to unveiling the ultimate experience of contemporary comfort and stylish sophistication, and making Sheraton Towers the perfect urban reprieve amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.”
