Marriott International Opens Courtyard By Marriott Toluca In Mexico

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 11, 2005. Marriott International, Inc. has expanded its portfolio of moderately priced Courtyard by Marriott Hotels in Mexico with the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Toluca under a franchise agreement with Operadora El Gran Hotel S.A. de C.V. It is the second Courtyard by Marriott hotel to open in Mexico.

The former Hotel Del Rey underwent an extensive renovation of its guest rooms, food and beverage outlets and other public areas before being rebranded a Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated approximately 1.8 miles from the Toluca International Airport and one mile from the primary access route between Toluca and Mexico City.

The general manager is Carlos Leon. The hotel is currently offering a special opening rate of $115.00USD per night plus tax, including breakfast.

Toluca is an important business city located about 45 minutes travel time north of Mexico City. It is home to a number of international companies such as General Motors, Nissan, Phizer and Bayer.

For dining and entertainment, the 153-room Courtyard by Marriott Toluca offers a casual restaurant and lobby lounge. Recreational amenities include an indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Other amenities include a business centre.

For meetings and social events, the hotel offers 4,750 square feet of space comprised of five meeting rooms.

Marriott introduced its Courtyard brand in 1983. It is aimed at business and leisure travellers who want consistent, high-quality accommodations and services at moderate, affordable prices. Over the years, Courtyard by Marriott hotels has been the leading choice in their category.
