J. Scott Robison Named DoSM ar Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua

KAPALUA, Maui, HI - January 16, 2012 - The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, along with vice president and general manager, Tom Donovan, are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Robison to spearhead all sales and marketing initiatives and strategic business development at the expansive, award-winning Maui resort.
Hailing from Virginia, Robison's most recent achievements as director of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, will bring to the luxury 463-room seaside property a dynamic new perspective. During his tenure, the DC-metro area hotel experienced double-digit RevPAR growth and 23% market share growth for 2011, while leading a sales and marketing team of 18 -- representing group, catering, business travel, leisure segments, and all public relations, marketing and revenue management efforts. Such successes resulted in Robison receiving numerous accolades and awards from Ritz-Carlton's regional and global sales organizations, as well as hotel ownership. His team also landed Host Hotels & Resorts' “2010 Sales and Marketing Team of the Year Award” for luxury and resort class hotels. Prior to joining the international luxury brand, Scott served as director of sales at Virginia's Lansdowne Resort and held several management positions with Hiltons' Washington, D.C. and Doubletree Hotels.

Robison is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Concentration in Hospitality Management and Business. An avid sports enthusiast, Scott is excited to explore Maui's many natural riches, to better navigate his new 'backyard' in anticipation of the arrival of his wife and two children this Summer.
