La Reine Astrid Becomes Warwick Reine Astrid

. December 28, 2011

December 27, 2011 - An iconic establishment of Lyon, La Reine Astrid has just announced its new name, becoming the Warwick Reine Astrid. The change includes not only a new name, but also a new visual identity for the prestigious four-star apartment hotel in the heart of the sixth district of Lyon, close to the paths in the park of the Tête d'Or, near the Convention Center, Room 3000 and the International City.

With this change of sign, the establishment strengthens its reputation and membership to a major international hotel group already present on five continents, from Paris to New York, from Brussels to Fiji. This new identity is also part of the development strategy of an address known for the quality of its services, both with clients of business and leisure alike.

Realization of the group Pitance, inaugurated in 1993, resumed in January 2000 by the Warwick International Hotels Group, the residence Warwick Reine Astrid houses 88 suites from 35 to 90 square meters. The property also features a restaurant/bar "The Lounge," three meeting rooms and a large reception room opening onto a large terrace and the private, manicured garden. The clientele of the residence also is able to enjoy the fitness/wellness centre and underground parking.

Three questions to Ali Afshar, General Manager of Warwick Reine Astrid

La Reine Astrid has just become Warwick Reine Astrid . Why this change of identity?
We wanted to clearly mark both our group membership participation with Warwick International Hotels, an international hotel company, present on five continents, and maintain our identity, our history in the heart of the beautiful city of Lyon. This is also a feature of Warwick hotels: where the focus of the hotels and resorts in the collection follow the spirit of the place where they reside. This is an asset to the development of our residential hotel in France and abroad. Becoming Warwick Reine Astrid is also a way to improve our visibility through all distribution channels, including of course, the website of Warwick International Hotels.

Other projects in the pipeline?
Yes. We have already completed a renovation of common areas and the meeting rooms. We have also just provided the bar-restaurant "The Lounge" iPad tablet menus to present and facilitate order taking. We will now dedicate ourselves to maximizing the outdoor terrace embellished with a new, remodeled and enlarged 60 square meters area to be delivered in March, for banquets and cocktail receptions in the summer. We also plan to add two additional meeting rooms, by the end of 2012, to meet strong demand from business meetings.

Precisely what is the weight of the business in your activities?
Individual customer's business accounts for 70% of the activity of the residence, against 15% for groups (seminars, study days, banquets, etc.) and 15% for families and leisure customers, this essentially during weekends and school holiday periods. We are fortunate to have a business clientele loyal and constantly growing. Indeed, this year we recorded a 15% increase in the number of covered banquets and seminars.
