Cedarbrook Lodge Decorates for the Holidays, Changes Children's Lives

Seattle hotel decorates holiday tree benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Alaska and Washington

. November 28, 2011

SEATTLE - November 23, 2011 - With excitement and true holiday cheer, Cedarbrook Lodge is pleased to announce its special holiday ornament campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Alaska and Washington. The specially decorated holiday tree will be on display December 2nd through 31st.

Cedarbrook's holiday tree in the lobby will be decorated with ornaments created by school children that are each available for a $5 donation to the Foundation. In addition to ornament purchases, hotel guests can make cash donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the front desk.

“These ornaments are unique art pieces created passionately by children, for children,” said Scott Ostrander, general manager of Cedarbrook Lodge. “The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a stellar organization whose mission is so meaningful to many people and we're pleased to help them spread cheer to children this holiday season.”

Children from the Matt Griffin YMCA in Seattle, as well as students at The Goddard School and Prune Hill Elementary, both in Camas, Wash., decorated the ornaments displayed on the tree at Cedarbrook Lodge.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Each year, more than 300 children throughout Alaska and Washington receive a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For more information about the Foundation, visit http://www.nwwishes.org.
