GHM Appoints Ed Linsley as GM of The Nam Hai in Vietnam

John Blanco Moves to Executive Position at Indochina Capital

. October 24, 2011

; HOI AN, Vietnam - October 20, 201 - The Nam Hai is getting a new general manager without losing its previous boss.

Hospitality veteran E d Linsley is moving from the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay to Vietnam's premier seaside resort while his predecessor, John Blanco , becomes an executive for the acclaimed property's ownership group, Indochina Capital.

The shuffle puts The Nam Hai in the envious position of having two hotel management experts in its fold.

"We couldn't feel more fortunate," said Peter Ryder, CEO of Indochina Capital. "To use baseball terminology, it's like adding another ace to the pitching staff."

As director of Indochina Capital's hotels and resorts division, Blanco is charged with monitoring the performance of the brand's entire portfolio of hospitality assets, which includes the new Six Senses Resort Con Dao and Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa in addition to The Nam Hai.

Blanco, a Venezuelan whose career has taken him from Singapore to Switzerland and everywhere in between over the past 25 years, will work out of Indochina Capital's Ho Chi Minh City office.

Linsley, who was in the prestigious Four Seasons organization for exactly two decades, assumes the responsibility of overseeing The Nam Hai's day-to-day operations and maintaining the resort's lofty reputation in a coastal region developing faster than smartphone technology.

Situated on 35 hectares of landscaped tropical gardens overlooking the East Sea, The Nam Hai features 60 one-bedroom villas and 40 pool villas ranging from one to five bedrooms, each with its own infinity pool.

Signature amenities of The Nam Hai include two gourmet restaurants, a tropical spa beside a lagoon and three beachfront swimming pools.

Since opening in December 2006, the GHM-managed property has established a reputation as one of the best resorts anywhere. Among the many accolades it has received include “World's Best Resort” in Travel + Leisure magazine's 2008 Design Awards.
