Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Downtown Opens
May 11, 2011 - The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, announces the opening of its seventh property in the UAE, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown.
Located on the upper floors of a mixed-use building, the new hotel is walking distance from the Dubai Mall and just six miles from the international airport. In addition to 220 contemporary rooms and 22 suites with signature Radisson Blu amenities such as complimentary high-speed internet access, the hotel offers an outdoor pool and bar, fitness center, steam bath and sauna. Radisson Blu Dubai Downtown is also equipped with six conference rooms, two board rooms and a business center with a comfortable lounge.

Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Downtown offers a variety of food and beverage outlets. Lemon Pepper restaurant specializes in international cuisine and local delicacies, Infiniti Bar & Terrace provides a spot for relaxing, while the outdoor terrace bar overlooks the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
The hotel borders Business Bay, a 20 million square-foot "city within a city," comprised of residential towers, office buildings, restaurants, boutiques and sporting facilities scheduled to be completed by early 2011. Key attractions including Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai International and Exhibition Center and Dubai International Financial Center are within a few minutes' drive from the hotel's site.
The opening marks the latest in Rezidor's Dubai portfolio: the group currently manages Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek; Radisson Blu Residence Dubai Marina; and Radisson Blu Dubai Media City. Rates at the hotel start at $155 per night and include airport pick-up, complimentary wireless internet access and daily breakfast.
