Stephanie Snapkoski Named DoSM for Hilton McLean Tysons Corner
MCLEAN, VA - May 7, 2011 - Stephanie Snapkoski has been named director sales and marketing for Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in McLean, VA according to Brian Kelleher, the hotels general manager. In her new role, Snapkoski will oversee the marketing and public relations campaign for the opening of the hotel's new restaurant härth, upcoming reinvention of the 458-room hotel and directing the dedicated sales team of eight people.
Snapkoski most recently was the director of sales and marketing for Sandcastle Hotels & Resorts in Alexandria, Va. She began her marketing career at Cellar Door in 1996 where she was responsible for tracking daily ticket sales and creating radio and print advertising. In 1998, she went to work for Bell and Company as a renewal maintenance sales specialist before switching over to the hospitality industry in 1999 with Interstate Hotels as director of sales at Microtel Inn and Suites. Advancing successfully in management with Interstate, Snapkoski held sales management positions at Radisson Annapolis, Radisson Hotel Old Town and Hilton Arlington until joining Sandcastle in 2006 as the director of sales and marketing at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town.
An avid golfer, Snapkoski is a member of Time Fore Nine, an all women's golf league made up women in the hospitality industry. She has participated in many charitable organizations and most recently worked with the Capital Area Food Bank and Volunteers of America.
Snapkoski is married to Michael and they have a 5 year old daughter, Kiersten and a Golden Retriever, Madison. J
