The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio Welcomes New GM
May 2, 2011 - The Westin Riverwalk is pleased to announce that William Petrella is joining us as General Manager. He will be overseeing operation of our 473-room, 65-suite luxury hotel on San Antonio's internationally renowned Riverwalk.
A twenty-year hospitality veteran, Bill Petrella began his career in Dallas at the Hyatt Regency as a Hyatt Corporate Management Trainee. He progressed through various executive-level positions in the Rooms Division and in 1994 assumed the first of nine General Manager positions, at the Negril Gardens Hotel in Jamaica, West Indies.
Since joining Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 1997, Bill has successfully led The Tremont Hotel, The Westin Grand Hotel in Washington, D.C., The Westin Stamford, The Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, Texas, The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, and now The Westin Riverwalk to even higher levels of service and guest satisfaction, while successfully increasing his involvement and presence in the community.
Bill was born in Livingston, New Jersey and lives in Tucson with his wife Jackie and two children, Danielle, 14 and Kyle, 9.
