Dr Grace Pan Heads ACNielsen China's New Leisure and Travel IPG
JANUARY 23, 2007. Leading global research company, ACNielsen, announced Dr. Grace Pan will spearhead its newly established Industry Practice Group (IPG) for leisure and travel research in China (PRC). She will be based in Shanghai.
"The establishment of ACNielsen's Leisure and Travel IPG is aimed at helping domestic and global travel operators uncover business opportunities in both inbound and outbound travel, via a full range of marketing and consumer research for companies making forays into the China (PRC) market," said ACNielsen China Executive Director Mr Rene Bos.
According to data from the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and World Tourism Organisation (WTO), China (PRC) is currently the world's fourth largest inbound tourism destination, welcoming more than 46.8 million international travellers last year.
Dr Pan comes to ACNielsen with nine years of experience in China (PRC) outbound travel research, leading major projects including Sino-Australian travel trade, Chinese (PRC) incentive travel to Australia, and Chinese (PRC) consumers' travel intentions to overseas destinations. She also holds the honourable title of Adjunct Professor at Griffith University (Australia).
