Anupam Banerjee Appointed Head Chef at Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.

Washington DC - December 9, 2010 - Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. is delighted to announce that Anupam Banerjee has been appointed as Head Chef. Banerjee joins the award-winning hotel's team with 15 years of industry experience and will be responsible for banquets and catering.

Chef Banerjee joined Mandarin Oriental nine years ago in London where he was Executive Sous Chef. He spent the past three years at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva where he opened the fine dining restaurant Rasoi, which has been honoured with a Michelin star for two successive years. Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Chef Banerjee held leadership roles at both Raffles Hotel Singapore as well as The Oberoi Hotel Group.
