Marco Polo Hotels Promotes Mark John Heywood to Area GM, Hong Kong
Hong Kong - September 27, 2010 - Marco Polo Hotels is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark John Heywood who will take on additional responsibilities as the Area General Manager overseeing the three Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong.
Heywood will continue his duties as the General Manager of the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel but is now assisting with the operations of both Gateway Hotel and Prince Hotel. As Area General Manager, Hong Kong, he will focus on the utilization of centralized services and coordination of marketing strategies for the three hotels. With the forthcoming renovations planned in the three hotels, he will also be actively involved in planning and implementation for these projects.

Heywood has joined the company since May 2009, bringing with him a wealth of experience in hospitality management. Prior to joining Marco Polo Hotels, he has been General Manager in various Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines for 19 years. He was also General Manager of Traders Hotel, Singapore from 1994 to 1996.
