WASHINGTON, DC, (January 17, 2007. The Hay-Adams, one of the world's leading luxury hotels, located across from The White House, received the prestigious Gold Award from The Leading Hotels of the World, making the hotel the number one choice for discriminating travelers who belong to the organization's Leaders Club guest loyalty and rewards program.

Launched in 1995, Leaders Club is the exclusive guest loyalty and recognition program of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. Members' average individual net worth is in excess of USD 1.66 million, with a median annual income of USD 250,000. Nearly 40% of Leaders Club members are CEOs, company owners or presidents. More than 84% of them hold advanced educational degrees.

Hans Bruland, General Manager and Vice President of the Hay-Adams, said, "We are delighted and honored to receive this award." He concluded, "We thank our loyal guests, whose recommendations enabled us to receive this distinction - and along with them our staff, whose dedication and professionalism allows us to maintain superior levels of guest service and personalized attention."

The principal criteria in determining the winners of the 2006 Leaders Club Awards were the appreciation letters received by the Leaders Club Services Department from Club members themselves. The Silver and Bronze awards were presented, respectively, to the Langham Hotel London; and the Villa d'Este on Lake Como, Italy.

Commenting on the awards, Leading Hotels chairman Jean Jacques Gauer noted, "Through the Leaders Club Award Program, we pay tribute to those hotels whose thoughtful and creative contributions to the success of the Club are exemplary. We honor hotels who have distinguished themselves in their outstanding efforts to ensure that the international sign of welcome - The Leaders Club - is a continued success."
