Carla Milos Appointed GM of Terme Di Saturnia
Seasoned GM Milos brings strong leadership skills and proven track record to Tuscany's luxury spa & golf resort.
June 23, 2010 - Carla Milos has been appointed general manager of the 140-room luxury Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort as announced by Ms. Milos previously served as Terme di Saturnia's hotel director.
Ms. Milos's experience with Terme di Saturnia, extensive knowledge of luxury properties and proven track record brings tremendous value and strength to the resort. Her thorough understanding of both the resort and the industry and the level of luxury provided to the clientele will help to continue to improve operations, offering new amenities and services in a continuous effort to exceed the expectations of guests. Prior to serving as Terme di Saturnia's Hotel Director, Milos oversaw the grand opening and held the position of general manager of Rome's Grand Hotel Via Veneto 5* de-luxe. In addition, she also served as the general manager of Rome's Hotel Majestic 5* de-luxe and then GM at Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi 5* de-luxe from 1997-2008. Milos is a member of the European Hotel Managers Association, Donne del Vino and the Association of Italian Sommeliers.
As general manager, Milos is charged with overseeing all hotel operations that includes food & beverage outlets fine dining all'Acquacotta and the casual Aqualuce, the newly opened championship golf course and the renowned Terme di Saturnia spa facilities. In this role, Milos will work with hotel executives to optimize operations to provide the ultimate guest experience.
Terme di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort features 140 guestrooms, including 80 Junior Suites and two Grand Suites, state-of-the-art spa with 53 treatment rooms, two restaurants, an Aldo Coppola Hair Salon, a conference center with meeting room for up to 250 people, six outdoor pools and an indoor pool, a replica of a traditional Roman bath house, fitness center, tennis court, practice green, Cruciani Luxury Cashmere, Spa Boutique, Spa Cafe and an art gallery. A true medical spa with a staff of hydrotherapy treatments based on the area's unique thermal waters which date back to the Etruscan period. The 3,000-year-old thermal pool has been flowing continuously into the natural crater nestled at the center of the resort, containing precious minerals and salts which were found to have healing effects on aches and pains of the ancient Romans.
Terme di Saturnia recently unveiled six Blackrose Spa Suites, which serve as an “ultra-exclusive spa within a spa,” featuring signature treatments and therapies. The suites feature black oak paneling, small traces of blue hues and pockets of natural sunlight and each detail has been carefully studied and paired to create a harmonious whole. The Blackrose Spa officially opened in spring 2009, and treatments in the luxury suites range in rates from € 200 to € 300.
The luxury resort, which is a member of Leading Hotels of the World and the exclusive Virtuoso, offers daily and weekly rates that include use of the resort's thermal pools, Roman Bath with Sauna and Steam bath, and thermal water falls.
