Al Luciano Joins Houston Area's La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa

As New Director of Sales & Marketing at the Noble House Hotels & Resorts Property

MONTGOMERY, TX - June 21, 2010 - Noble House Hotels & Resorts has appointed hospitality veteran Al Luciano to the role of director of sales and marketing at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa. The $130-million property, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, is located on the shores of Lake Conroe an hour north of downtown Houston and features 445 suite accommodations, a dedicated 70,000-square-foot conference and events center, 3.5-acre Aqua Park, 10,000-square-foot fitness center, 17,000-square-foot spa and signature fine dining restaurant from world-renowned Master Chef Albert Roux.

Prior to joining La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, Luciano was a vice president and team director at ConferenceDirect, a full service meeting solutions company specializing in site selection/contract negotiation, conference management, housing and registration. Before that, he served as vice president of sales for the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

For nearly 14 years, from 1995 until 2008, Luciano was employed by Marriot Hotels and Resorts, most recently as director of sales and marketing for San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. He joined the company as the assistant director of sales for the Renaissance Nashville Hotel and also served as the area director of sales and marketing for the Renaissance Hotels portfolio in Atlanta, which includes the Renaissance Atlanta Downtown Hotel, Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel.

Luciano began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels Corporation, holding a number of roles during his 13 years of service, including director of national accounts, director of sales at the Palmer House in Chicago, assistant director of sales and the Miami Hilton Airport Hotel, sales manager at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto in Savannah, GA and food and beverage positions at Hilton properties in Atlanta and Jacksonville, FL. He was also employed as the director of national accounts at the Gaylord Orpryland hotel in Nashville and as director of national accounts/eastern region for the Reno/Sparks Convention & Visitor Authority in the Washington, DC office.

Luciano is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in hotel management.
