TAMPA, FL - June 14, 2010 - BayStar Hotel Group has promoted Terry Sam to general manager of the Hotel Indigo - St. Petersburg Historic Downtown District.
Sam joined BayStar Hotel Group last year as corporate area sales director, continuing a 25-plus year career in the hospitality industry that encompassed positions with Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Starwood Hotels and Hilton Hotels. He is also the former national sales manager for Tampa Bay & Company, which was Hillsborough County's official tourism marketing organization.
Sam attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He is active in the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership, the Downtown Business Association, the Entrepreneurs Social Club, the Westshore Alliance, and Meeting Planners International - Tampa Bay Chapter Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater, the county's convention and visitor's bureau.
