Mexico City Native Returns to Sol Melia as Director of Sales & Marketing

June 9, 2010 - ME Cabo announces the appointment of Juan Carlos González as Director of Sales & Marketing, returning to the Sol Melia brand after a brief hiatus as Director of Travel Industry Sales at the Regent Palms Turks & Caicos. A talented and experienced hospitality sales manager, González will be responsible for developing and building new business through innovative sales programs focused on the high-end FIT market segment and groups, specifically fashion and entertainment.

Prior to joining the ME Cabo team, González worked as Director of Key Account Management/Premium Portfolio at the Sol Group Corporation and Tour & Travel Sales Manager at the Paramount Hotel New York. Within the Sol Meliá family, González held the position of Sales Coordinator for the U.S. and Canada at Meliá Caribe Tropical and the Paradisus Punta Cana, as well as Groups and Convention Manager at Hotel Meliá Puerto Vallarta.

A native of Mexico City, González earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Hotel Direction from the Hotel School Sta. Brigida in the Canary Islands, Spain. Currently, González is based in Los Angeles.
