T. Cook's at the Royal Palms Resort Chef Visits Tarrytown House Estate
Executive Chef Lee Hillson participates in Vintage Hudson Valley Golf event to raise funds for sustainable agriculture
May 25, 2010 - Lee Hillson, Executive Chef of T. Cooks at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, joined culinary chefs from around the world in the Hudson Valley to help raise funds for sustainable agriculture.
Hillson was among top chefs to compete in Vintage Hudson Valley's Chef and Bartender Golf Classic on May 17 to raise fund for Glynwood, a non-profit organization which works to preserve local farming. While back East, Hillson visited Royal Palms' sister resort Tarrytown House Estate and shared some culinary secrets with its Executive Chef Chris Hettinger.
Hillson, who has competed on Food Network's Iron Chef, helped T. Cook's earn its most popular Phoenix/Scottsdale restaurant designation by Zagat's: America's Top Restaurants in both 2006 and 2007. He is no stranger to raising money for charity away from the kitchen. In 2007, Hillson raised funds for the Arizona Kidney Foundation as a “celebrity dancer” for Dancing with the Stars Arizona.
