Jan-Paul Kroese Appointed Resident Manager, Amstel Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM, NL, August 3, 2006. Hendrik Bosch, General Manager of the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam has the pleasure to announce the appointment of Jan-Paul Kroese as Resident Manager. Kroese started his career at the Amstel Hotel as Director of Sales and Marketing in May 2004. Two years later in July 2006 he is promoted from Director of Sales and Marketing to Resident Manager. In his new capacity Kroese will be responsible for the day to day operations in the Amstel Hotel.

In 1996 Kroese began his career at Hotel Des Indes in The Hague (then an InterContinental hotel) as F&B Cost Controller. In 1997 he left the Netherlands for China. In Shanghai Kroese was active in the Okura Garden Hotel (Okura Hotels & Resorts) as Assistant Sales Manager and International Sales Manager. From 1999 till 2004 he continued his career at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. At Hotel The Mark in New York he worked as Group Sales Manager and Senior Sales Manager. Subsequently he was operative at the Mandarin Oriental in New York as Senior Sales Manager. From the Mandarin Oriental New York he returned to the Netherlands to the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam.
