Starwood announces a franchise agreement for Bear Mountain, British Columbia, Canada's, signature hotel accommodations, the 65-room "Fairways" and 91-room "Clubhouse" to be collectively known as The Westin Bear Mountain Victoria Resort & Spa. The Fairways phase of the resort opened in Dec '04 and the Clubhouse phase is scheduled to open in May '06. EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN: HISTORIC OLD ALEXANDRIA GETS STYLISH NEW WESTIN

Starwood completed agreement with Regent Partners of Atlanta, Georgia to operate a new 319-room luxury hotel under its upper-upscale Westin brand in the Carlyle section of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. The Westin Alexandria is due to be completed in 2007, featuring 18,000 sq ft of meeting space, a signature restaurant and a fully equipped business centre, also Westin's signature Heavenly Bed(R), Heavenly Bath(R) and new fully-equipped WestinWORKOUT(R) Rooms and fitness centre. Starwood's first Luxury Collection property in the Bahamas will feature resort villas and private estate residences. Starwood announces a signed agreement with Eleuthera Properties, Ltd., to develop Cotton Bay Villas, an exclusive new resort. This magnificent 1,500-acre project will be unveiled in two phases with Phase I comprising of 2 and 3 bedroom villas, 114 estate lots and a spectacular 26,000-sq ft Clubhouse. The soft opening is scheduled for Dec 2006 with 25 premier beachfront units and Clubhouse with full amenities and services and a private marina. Completion of the 73 guestroom resort is scheduled for Dec 2007. Future phases will include an 18-hole championship golf course, wellness centre/spa, additional real estate development and expansion of the marina.

SHERATON AND WESTIN BEGIN CONSTRUCTION SIDE BY SIDE!

Starwood announces the groundbreaking of two new airport hotels, the Sheraton Baltimore-Washington Airport Hotel and The Westin Baltimore-Washington Airport Hotel both located in Linthicum, MD. The 203-room Sheraton is slated to open late 2006. Next door, the 260-room Westin is scheduled for spring 2007. Both hotels are owned by Brentwood Hotels and will be managed by LTD Management Company LLC. Both properties will offer high-speed wireless Internet access in all public areas and guest rooms, the Westin will have nearly 7,300 sq ft of meeting space, and the Sheraton, more than 4,600 sq ft.

FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON CONTINUES EXPANSION MOMENTUM IN CHINA

Starwood continues its aggressive expansion in China with the signing of two new hotels: Four Points by Sheraton Changshu and Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong. Starwood and Changshu Yukun Real Estate Investment Company Ltd signed an agreement whereby Starwood will manage the new-build Four Points by Sheraton Changshu in Jiangsu province. The hotel is scheduled to open in mid-2007, featuring 340 rooms, 11,900 sq ft of meeting space, 3 dining outlets, a health club and spa, an indoor swimming pool and a business centre. Starwood also signed an agreement with Shanghai You You International Plaza Company Ltd for the management of the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong. The hotel is scheduled to open in mid-2006, featuring 340 rooms, 11,800 sq ft of meeting space, 3 food and beverage outlets and a health club.
