WIA Elects Jeff Machut 2007 Chairman of the Board
Along with New Officers and Directors
LAKE GENEVA, WI, November 20, 2006. Jeff Machut, Owner and General Manager of the AmericInn Lodge & Suites - Madison South, was elected the Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA) 2007 Chairman of the Board. Machut takes over Chairman duties from Lola Roeh, The Osthoff Resort, Elkhart Lake, effective January 1, 2007.
Machut is a past WIA Manager of the Year Award Recipient. He previously chaired the WIA Legislative/Tourism Committee and served on the Governor's Small Business Regulatory Reform Task Force. Machut has spent the past three years as both a member of WIA's Board of Directors and the association's Executive Committee. The WIA looks forward to Machut's guidance and expertise throughout 2007.
Also at its Annual Lodging Conference held October 30 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, the Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA) elected Scott Krause and Kirk Drusch, CHA, as Officers to the 2007 Board of Directors.
Krause, General Manager of the Heidel House Resort in Green Lake, was named Chairman-Elect. Krause was recently honored with the 2005 WIA Innkeeper of the Year Award at last year's Wisconsin Lodging Conference. He has also served as the Chairman of the WIA Communications/Marketing Committee.
Drusch, Vice President and General Manager of the Brookfield Suites Hotel & Convention Center, was named WIA's Secretary/Treasurer. In addition, Drusch was named the association's "Innkeeper of the Year" for 2006. Drusch has served on the Board of Directors for the past six years.

The Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA) represents over 1,100 hotels, motels, resorts, inns, hotel condos, and bed & breakfasts throughout Wisconsin.
Established in 1896, the WIA provides marketing, education, legislative, and information services to Wisconsin's lodging industry.
