Affinity Partnership with Real Magnet Gives HSMAI Members Discount on New Feature of MagnetMail
Enterprise Feature Provides Greater Control Over E-Mail/Fax Communications
MCLEAN, VA, August 1, 2005. In its partnership role as a Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) affinity member, Real Magnet is offering a discount to HSMAI members on its just-released Enterprise feature, an upgrade to its e-mail/fax broadcast system, MagnetMail.
HSMAI members receive a 10 percent discount off this new service from the e-mail provider. The new functionality gives managers the ability to exert greater control over the volume and content of messages sent out by their organization along with tighter integration with end user permission levels.
"Identifying ways to help our members be more efficient, productive and successful is part of our mission, and through affinity partners such as Real Magnet, we provide a way for them to do so more cost effectively," states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.
"Organizations risk damaging their image and running afoul of compliance standards by sending out too many or the wrong types of messages," said Tom Pines, president, Real Magnet. "MagnetMail's new Enterprise feature was designed specifically to help organizations exercise greater control over the volume and quality of the messages that are sent out from an organization as a whole."
The new functionality provides for the creation of "super-users" who can set a wide array of permissions for "sub" users. Examples of permissions that can be dynamically managed include: access to specific lists, uploading lists, editing or deleting recipient records, creating or editing content, and more. A practical example of the functionality's use is assigning sole discretion to the "data manager" to access and upload distribution lists into MagnetMail to insure organizational compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations.
A second key feature of the Enterprise upgrade is the Approved Sender functionality, whereby a super-user can deny any user the ability to send a message unless a designated manager approves it. When the user requiring approval sends the message, it is sent to the manager's approval queue where it remains until it is either approved or canceled.
