Mike Francis CHA, a Principal with The Mumford Company and located in its Dallas office, comments ... "There's a perfect balance of available funds, cost of funds, visibility of revenue streams and deal opportunities. It really depends upon what tier you're in. If there's a lot of capital floating around in your market, it's a seller's market. If you're in a market where hotels are facing business issues, it may be a buyer's market. If buyer's can have an impact on less-than-investment grade asset they are buying by creating value through operations and branding, then they can get good deals."
