New Appointment for InterContinental
NOVEMBER 13, 2006. InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is appointing of Nick Grandvoinet to the position of Vice President Sales, Europe Middle East and Africa. Based at the company's global headquarters in Windsor, Berkshire, Nick will report into the Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing EMEA.
This new position adds additional structure and focus to IHG's EMEA Sales team which is growing and developing to meet the expanding demands of the business as IHG grows to meet its own development targets of adding 50-60,000 new rooms to its estate in three years.
Nick brings with him 22 years of sales experience to the position across a range of disciplines in the leisure and travel industries including Carslon Wagonlit Travel where he was responsible for winning a series of major international accounts and most recently with Avis Europe, where he was Director of Corporate Sales.
Richard Hartman, IHG's Managing Director EMEA, said: "We have seen impressive and consistent sales growth across EMEA and we are very pleased that Nick is joining us to continue and develop our business across the region. Nick will be managing a multi-brand portfolio of properties and will have his work cut out increasing the excellent work already done by the team, but we are confident in his abilities and that we have the right person to take our business forward in the region."
