Homewood Suites, Bethlehem, PA to Open in November
LIVINGSTON, NJ, November 1, 2006. The Briad Group of Livingston, New Jersey will open a new three-story, 113-unit, Homewood Suites by Hilton (R), the national brand of upscale, all-suite, residential-style hotel. All 113 suites offer full state of the art kitchen facilities, featuring all stainless steel appliances and ceramic cooktop stoves. The newly constructed hotel is owned by Briad Lodging Group Bethlehem, LLC and managed by Briad Hospitality Management, LLC of Livingston, NJ.
"Allentown/Bethlehem is a strong hotel market in need of additional upscale extended stay hotels like Homewood Suites and we are thrilled to be opening in the area," said Hotel General Manager Robert McDevitt. "We are the ideal place for those travelers who are away from home or office for several days but still need to have all of the benefits, such as a full kitchen, executive business center and complimentary high-speed Internet access," McDevitt said. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Bethlehem is located at 2031 Avenue C, Bethlehem, PA. The property is conveniently located off Route 22 and Schoenersville Road near both Bethlehem and Allentown and in close proximity to many area attractions such as Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Crayola Factory and Historic Bethlehem. Local businesses surrounding the hotel include FL Smidth, Alcoa and B. Braun Medical. Local colleges include Lehigh University, Moravian College and Lafayette College.
The three-story Homewood Suites by Hilton features residential-style studio; one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens; and spacious sleeping and living areas that are large enough for work, study, entertaining or relaxing. To help guests be more productive, the Hilton Family of Hotels custom designed its own clock, featuring one of the easiest-to-set alarms. The new clocks also feature a connection cable for MP3 players and other portable music devices including iPods, an addition the Hilton Family made after research revealed that consumers prefer to maintain their own music lifestyles while on the road.
In addition to the Bethlehem hotel, construction is well underway on three other hotels, scheduled to open in 2007: a 100-room Marriott Residence Inn in Neptune, NJ, 108-room Residence Inn in Mt. Laurel, NJ and 113-room Courtyard by Marriott in Wall Township, NJ. In addition to developing and owning franchises under long-term agreements with Hilton and Marriott, The Briad Group has the ability to manage properties under its hotel management subsidiary Briad Hospitality Management, L.L.C. "Our Hotel Division is a key element of Briad's continued success and growth. We value the strong relationships we have with these two great companies," said Brad Honigfeld, Chairman and CEO of The Briad Group.
The Briad Group has been developing extended- and limited-stay hotels across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states for the past seven years, with thirteen hotels developed from the ground up. The company has developed properties under the Residence Inn, Courtyard and Spring Hill Suites brands for Marriott; and the Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn brands for Hilton.
