HONG KONG, July 29, 2005. Acclaimed as one of the world's top hotels and prized for its spectacular views, InterContinental Hong Kong continues its dramatic transformation this summer with major room and suite renovations, including the creation of Hong Kong's largest Presidential Suite.

The new five-bedroom Presidential Suite will be 7,000 square-feet, with a duplex atrium entrance hall and living room, featuring two-story plate glass windows with panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. Most spectacular will be the suite's 2,500 square-foot wrap-around harborview terrace with a rooftop infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi, for an "IMAX" experience of Hong Kong.

The room renovation, scheduled for completion in late September, encompasses 65% of the hotel's rooms and suites and is the largest in the hotel's 25-year history. This project is part of InterContinental Hotels Group's ongoing renovation plan for the hotel since acquiring it in 2001 and its continuing commitment to not only maintaining, but also enhancing the hotel's position as one of the world's top properties.

"Our hotel is internationally recognized for its picture-postcard views. Now with our enhanced room and suite product, our rooms will be as spectacular as our views," said Jean-Jacques Reibel, Managing Director of InterContinental Hong Kong. "Our goal is to continue to improve the hotel's facilities and services with meaningful renovations, which enhance our guests' experiences and provide them with the finest accommodations and latest technology. Plus, the timing of our room renovation is perfect, with Hong Kong's economy having rebounded and the demand for luxury accommodations reaching the highest levels in recent years, " added Reibel.

The new "Contemporary Guest Rooms" will have a streamlined modern look with Asian influences in art and accessories. Soft, warm color tones are designed to enhance the dramatic signature views while providing a residential feel. The new guestroom layout maximizes room space, with a curved desk providing a generous working area. All rooms will have new 37" Sharp LCD televisions, Bose DVD/CD home entertainment sound systems with IPOD docking stations and high-speed wireless broadband access.

In addition to the Presidential Suite, the project also includes the creation of a Romance/Honeymoon Suite and a CEO Suite, both with large outdoor terraces an Jacuzzis overlooking Victoria Harbour.

The design firm of LTW (Lim + Teo + Wilkes Design Works) based in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Milan, has been commissioned for this project.
