JAMAICA, September 2, 2008. Riu Montego Bay, located on the North Coast of Jamaica, opened August 29, 2008 as scheduled. Riu Montego Bay offers 681 rooms, three specialty-themed restaurants, five bars and a conference room. The beachfront resort is the first Riu resort in Montego Bay and the fourth Riu resort in Jamaica. Riu now offers 2,373 rooms on the Caribbean island. Riu has created more than 2000 jobs, as well as many indirect jobs, in Jamaica.
