Shaner Names Cindy Robinson as GM of Marriott Fairfield

STATE COLLEGE, PA, August 28, 2008. Shaner Hotel Group announced that it has named Cindy Robinson as General Manager of its new Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites in Plant City/Lakeland, Florida. The hotel is scheduled to open in January 2009.
Ms. Robinson brings a strong hospitality background in both sales and general management to Shaner, having previously served in lead sales roles with McKibbon Hotel Management for their Residence Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and TownePlace Suites. Her ongoing successes in these positions led to increasingly greater visibility, responsibilities and promotions. Prior to joining Shaner, Ms. Robinson most recently served as General Manager for the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Tampa, Florida, owned by Impact Hotels.

The new, 87-room, 44,000 square foot Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott will include a spa and outdoor pool. The property is located at County Line Road and I-4 to serve business and leisure guests, located minutes away from Publix corporate headquarters, the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In air show and is also convenient to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, the site of Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.
In addition to the new Fairfield Inn & Suites in Lakeland, other Shaner properties under development include a 98-room Courtyard and 82-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in St. Augustine, FL; a 97-room Courtyard and 108-room Residence Inn by Marriott in Kendall Town (Jacksonville), FL; as well as 87-room and 80-room Fairfield Inns & Suites in Augusta, GA.
